Our expressive 2020 Santa Maria Valley Syrah opens with the classic spicy aromas and fruit-forward flavors that the Santa Maria Valley sub-AVA is known for. Scents of black and white pepper rise from the glass, followed by layers of red plum, parma violets and a touch of brown spice. Smokey undertones from barrel aging carry through each sip with rich and chalky tannins on the finish. This wine pairs best with BBQ-glazed chicken, grilled lamb chops, leg of lamb Shawarma, or would be the perfect choice during happy hour paired with smoked gouda or salty blue cheese.
