Complex and alluring aromas open our savory 2020 Ballard Canyon Syrah, with scents of dark plum, violet, vanilla and brown spice rising from the glass. A smokey undertone entices the senses, thanks to 15 months of aging in French oak barrels. Flavors of blackberry, plum and raspberry follow, with an earthy and smokey finish rounding out the glass. This wine pairs beautifully with spare ribs in plum sauce, smoked eggplant or slow-roasted barbecue pork. For a special treat, enjoy with a rich and chocolatey dessert.

Ballard Canyon, the United States’ first and only Syrah-focused viticultural area, is a defined, elevated watershed between the towns of Buellton and Los Olivos, California. The Ballard Canyon AVA has more than three-quarters of the planted acreage dedicated to Rhone varieties.
